Outside entries are welcomed into the sale.

DIRECTIONS:

The farm is situated in the village of Stawley which is approximately 5 west of Wellington and 3 miles south of Wiveliscombe. ‘To the Sale’ Signs will be posted locally on the viewing afternoon and on the day of the sale. 

VIEWING:

On Friday 10th May between  1.00pm to 4.00pm and on the morning of the sale from 8.00am onwards.

VAT:

Please note that the vendor is VAT registered, so VAT will be added to the purchase price of most lots unless otherwise stated at the time of sale.

REFRESHMENTS & TOILETS:

Mobile Catering will be in attendance. Toilets facilities will also be available.

BUYERS PREMIUM: 

ONSITE BIDDERS: 10% Buyers Premium charged on all lots purchased onsite to a maximum of £250 per lot + VAT (£300).

ONLINE BIDDERS: 12.5% Buyers Premium charged on all lots purchased online to a maximum of £500 per lot + VAT (£600).

PAYMENT: 

All lots must be paid for on the day of the sale, and no lots should be removed from the saleground before payment has been made unless alternative arrangements have been agreed with the Auctioneers. We are able to accept cash (the maximum permitted due to money laundering regulations is £7000), bank transfer, cheque, and debit card. Please note payments by Business Credit Cards will be subject to a 2% surcharge. Our bank account details are Sort Code: 40-20-30 Account Number: 71697900.

DESCRIPTION OF LOTS: 

Prospective purchasers should satisfy themselves prior to making bids as to the condition of any lot and should rely on their own judgement and not the Auctioneers or Vendors description. 

REGISTRATION: 

Prospective purchasers not known to the auctioneers should contact the auctioneers prior to the sale and give banking details and references on 01769 572042. Please ensure that you register on the morning of the sale at the sales office and obtain a bidding number. All buyer’s unknown to the Auctioneers must bring with them two forms of identification. Acceptable identification includes Driving Licence, Passport, Utility Bills, Proof of Address and Business Card. We recommend that all prospective purchasers visit the Stags website (www.stags.co.uk/pages/on-site-sales) and click on the Stags Conditions of Sale and read the LAA (Livestock Auctioneers Association) Standard Conditions of Sale which we use to sell machinery and implements ahead of the sale. Please note that when you complete the registration form you are agreeing to the effect that you have read and agree and abide by LAA (Livestock Auctioneers Association) Standard Conditions of Sale. 

CLEARANCE: 

All lots remain at the risk of the purchaser from the fall of the hammer. Lots can only be removed once payment has been made. All lots must be removed by 5.00pm Friday 24th May 2024.

HEALTH AND SAFETY: 

The Vendors and Stags will take all reasonable precautions to ensure the Health and Safety of everyone attending the sale. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring. All persons entering the saleground does so at their own risk, and must comply with the requirements of any Health & Safety notices and guidelines. All persons entering the saleground are hereby given notice that there are significant risks due to vehicle movement, nature of the premises and the way the equipment is displayed. No vehicle should enter the lot layout areas whilst the sale is still in progress without express permission of the Auctioneers. Permission from the Auctioneers is required ahead of starting machinery, vehicles, or any powered equipment. Any incidents or accidents on the saleground must be reported to Stags sales office immediately. To be clear Stags cannot be held liable for any injury or damage to persons or property arising out of their negligence.
