100% success rate for online property auctions in 2020

100% success rate for online property auctions in 2020

Stags is delighted to report on the success of their online property auctions held in 2020. Being unable to hold in the room auctions as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic has resulted in the acceleration of the online property auctions, which has proved very successful, appealing to both vendors and purchasers.

Andrew Luxton MRICS FARLA of Stags confirms that we had a 100% sales success rate last year with our first lot offered in July being Newdowns Farm, Bodmin selling for £700,000 and attracting 57 bids. The lots offered thereafter ranged in value from £56,500 for land at Helston to an exceptional £1,010,000 for Hackworthy Farm near Exeter attracting 53 bids. The ease of placing properties on the market to auction with the flexibility of traditional or conditional options and the certainty to vendors that the auction process brings is proving very popular. For buyers the appeal is to be able to bid from the comfort of their home and without some of the pressures an in room auction can sometimes bring.

In 2021 we have already sold Creek House near Newton Abbot for £400,000 and currently have 10 properties live - visit our Online Auctions page to view all lots. We have a number of other lots due to launch shortly ranging from basic land lots to development and commercial property.

As ever not all situations and property suit the auction method, and it is important all factors are considered to ensure successful and competitive bidding. If you wish to explore this method as a way of selling your property then please contact one of our sales offices or e mail Andrew Luxton at A.luxton@stags.co.uk.
