Why use an ARLA Propertymark protected agent?

Why use an ARLA Propertymark protected agent? Stags Residential Lettings department is proud to be a member of ARLA and therefore able to offer our landlords and tenants the added protection this affords.

ARLA Propertymark has long been at the heart of the private rented sector in providing more than 9,000 letting agents with the training and legal advice they need to help their landlords.

Andrew Luxton MRICS FARLA, Partner in charge of Stags Residential Lettings department indicates that landlords are under increasing pressure and need solutions: “The Government has piled one piece of legislation on top of another while local authorities desperate for revenue are looking to raise it through enforcement activity. All agents belonging to ARLA Propertymark are required to operate in a transparent way, providing services subject to independent scrutiny and ensuring that landlord and tenant funds are protected and backed by the Propertymark client money protection scheme. Agents must keep up to date on the latest legal changes and must offer higher levels of protection than are legally required.

“Unfortunately it is still possible for anyone to set up a lettings agency; you do not need to be qualified or have any experience of the lettings sector. It is therefore vital that when landlords and tenants are making a decision as to who to choose, they ensure that their first choice is an Arla Propertymark agent. Stags has qualified ARLA members throughout its lettings branches and we are proud to support all existing employees in becoming members.
