The Stags team were excited to return to Uplowman Court Farm which has been a regular sale venue in recent years by kind permission of the Blake family. Due to the closure of our permanent sale site previously operating in Willand, the team were determined to ensure that Uplowman becomes a date for the diary once more.

Early entries were received in to the sale which included 2 Massey Ferguson tractors, a Parmiter 6 metre grass harrow, a Fraser flatbed trailer, a Vauxhall Astra car and a grain trailer. By early advertisement of these items, further quality entries were received which made for a good amount of lots where over 500 were offered on the day. In addition, the lengthy advertising period ensured that the sale was very well attended, as well as great results being achieved.

The sale attracted over 100 attendees with an additional 232 registered online bidders with buyers from Wales, Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Dorset. Our online catalogue received over 3,500 visits with 110 successful purchasers both from the field and online.

Top price achieved was one of the early entries being a 1983 Massey Ferguson 690 2WD tractor which realised £7250, followed by the Massey Ferguson 265 2wd tractor which again was another early entry which received optimum exposure to the public before the sale. Third in line was a Mitsubishi MT20 4WD tractor realising £2600 followed by a 1996 Warwick 6 tonne grain trailer which saw £2050. A Shelbourne Reynolds post banger which was in reasonable order achieved £1950, with a 12 Ifor Williams DP120 livestock trailer and a McConnel PA92 hedge trimmer both reaching £1600 apiece. We hope that all the purchasers are satisfied with their new purchases.

We also had some entries by James and Max Hayes of Machinery Nation who documented their experience with us on their YouTube channel, please follow this Link to watch the full video. Thank you to James and his son, Max, for documenting this, it is great to see the next generation being encouraged to and getting involved with, all variations of our sales, in particular our on-site sales, considering modern technology has certainly taken this over somewhat.

Stags Agricultural Sales team are always pleased to be able to hold traditional on-site sales, if you are considering your options and need some advice as to which route is best to go for your circumstances, please do feel free to contact us on 01769 572042 where we will be more than happy to help.
