Twenty high-quality items meet national attention

Running alongside another online dispersal sale, the virtual auction of items from Rollestone Farm, Kenn commenced on 17th June, before ending on the 26th June, after being instructed by the vendor to disperse his high quality and well-presented machinery, trailers and attachments. The online sale went exceedingly well, leaving both the vendor and Stags’ online sales team most content. With 20 outstanding items on offer, the statistics illustrate the success of the auction: 5,309 views of the catalogue, 249 registering to bid in the auction, £80,340 worth of bids being placed (not all successful) and obtaining national attention with purchasers coming from Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Lancashire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Aberdeenshire.

The top price reached during the sale was the popular 2009 Manitou Maniscopic Turbo Telehandler. Having 4,912 hours on the clock and being serviced every year, the telehandler proved to be in a well-respected condition which was reflected by the 103 bids it received. After competitive bidding from the online audience, the telehandler finally sold at £31,500 before going to a new home in Cornwall.  The next highest price made during the auction was the 2008 John Deere 459 Conventional Baler. Being complete with bale choice additive preserver applicator and also serviced recently, the baler proved to also be popular amongst bidders. After receiving 81 bids, it finally sold for £8,750 to a farmer in Devon. Not far behind, obtaining another great price of £6,000 was the Portequip 26’ Twin Axle Bale Trailer. Being complete with front and rear lades, the trailer was soon purchased by another farmer in Devon. The next best price made was the Lely Lotus 70 Stabilo 6 Star Tedder. Being purchased new on the farm and dry stored, the condition of the tedder has definitely remained high throughout its ownership. After keen bidding, the hammer finally went down at £6,000 to another buyer in Devon. Another trailer, being the Bailey 21’ Twin Axle Bale Trailer, was not far behind at £4,700, purchased by another local buyer in Devon.

Back to farm machinery, another notable price made during the sale was £4,100 for the 2018 Kongskilde GXS 3605 Mower. Also being bought new on farm and having been dry stored, the mower soon found a new home in Lancashire. Another piece of well looked-after machinery was next in line, being the 2012 Lely Hibiscus 455S Single Rota Rake. With more keen bidding from the online audience, the rake sold at £3,500 before finding a new home in Aberdeenshire. Returning back to trailers, the 25’ Twin Axle Bale Trailer also made a notable price of £3,200, being purchased by another local farmer in Devon. Once again returning to machinery, a great price of £2,000 was achieved for the Ritchie Cook Flat 8 Bale Accumulator going to a local farmer in Devon. Finally, another remarkable price made during the dispersal was the 24’ Twin Tandem Axle Bale Trailer. Being complete with front and rear lades as well as a wooden floor, the trailer was sold for £2,000 to another Devon farmer based in Dawlish.

The next sale date on 19th July, our second on-site sale of the year, is a dispersal sale of 3 tractors, farm machinery, trailers, attachments, livestock and general equipment and vintage items at a farm in Dunkeswell, Devon. Other dates for July include: the Mid Devon Summer Collective Sale at Uplowman Court on the 26th July and also the July online timed auction is due to commence on the 28th July, before finishing on 7th August.
