“A thoroughly pleasing day’s trading, with a good attendance and strong support to produce a lively and competitive sale throughout. Trade for small tools and antiquities proved brisk from the outset, with keen interest across all sections. A sparse offering of more modern and higher quality machinery was met with particularly firm demand highlighting that this annual sale is well worth supporting for those that are local and have surplus machinery to sell. Top price on the day was possibly an unexpected entry, being the 1983 Mercedes 609D Camper Van, topping the day at £9,250, whilst good modern implements continued to attract spirited bidding, including a 2015 Kuhn GMD240 Disc Mower at £4,150 and a Kuhn GF502 Turner achieving £3,550. Further notable prices saw the Siroma 244E 4WD Tractor realise £2,750 and a John Deere 459 Baler sell at £2,250. Other items, including the Bateson Livestock Trailer at £1,540 and a Galvanised Creep Feeder at £418, looked well sold on the day. With over 100 purchasers in attendance in the field and online support drawn from across the West Country, the sale achieved a sound clearance and a very satisfactory overall result, reflecting a steady and reliable level of demand.”
