Wet weather doesn’t dampen prices.
Stags West Country Sales Centre, Willand, Cullompton EX15 1QP, played host to a sale crammed with collectables, amongst another good entry of commercial vehicles on Saturday 23rd November.
Top price of the day was seen for a 2009 Citroen Berlingo 600 HDI LX75 2WD Van which reached £960 with only a short MOT. Next came a Hydraulic Log Splitter which sold for £800 to a purchaser who travelled from Gloucester. Other commercial vans entered into the sale realised £550 for a Fiat Van with short MOT and £200 for a Citroen Berlingo with no MOT.
Although the top prices were seen for vehicles the most fiercely contested items were among those sold indoors with the dispersal of horse drawn ploughs and over 250 lots of collectables, vintage items and saddlery equipment removed from Buckfastleigh which attracted interest from far and wide. Possibly the most unusual item, a pair of elephant’s feet tables (with certification) reached £160 while the best of the ploughs topped at £100, and a vintage stove (showing damage) reached £170.
A number of items have already been dropped into the Sales Centre which will be offered through Stags’ Online Timed Auction running from Thursday 5th December – Sunday 15th December 2019. The next general collective sale by public auction scheduled at the West Country Sales Centre is for Saturday 25th January 2020 with early entries encouraged and invited.
Don’t forget on Friday 20th December 2019 there will be a sale of Christmas Poultry at the West Country Sale Centre, Willand, Devon, EX15 1QP where we anticipate an entry of 100 Oven Ready Turkeys, 25 Geese and 25 Chickens will be on offer.
