The South West July Fodder, Crop & Livestock Online Timed Auction Statistics
AUCTION CO-ORDINATORS COMMENT
Another strong entry received of over 450+ lots for The July Fodder, Crop & Livestock auction. Following the success of last months standing straw auction the decision was made to add a new category of crops & grass for mowing into our monthly sales, which has been a great success. Topping the sale, we saw 24 Acres of Pea & Barley Wholecrop reach £380 per acre as well as grass for mowing topping at £65 per acre.
We saw a strong trade on the livestock with 2 x 16MO Purebred Simmental Heifers selling for £2,140 per life after gaining much interest throughout the sale. Breeding & teaser rams especially saw an excellent trade with a 1YO Zwartble Teaser Ram topping the sheep at £560 and a Pedigree Poll Dorset Shearling following shortly after at £480.
Once again, poultry sold exceptionally well with a Gold Penciled Braham hen selling for £53 on Sunday night.
