Keep up to date with the latest Stags news
Once again, another exceptional number of entries in both quality and quantity were received for this month’s auction.
Following last year's success of our online breeding ram & ewe sale, we decided to make this an annual event. Catalogue views were up a staggering 11,000 from last month’s sale, with a strong trade seen throughout the sale in both livestock and fodder.
Topping the livestock, we saw a 4YO Pedigree Charolais Bull reach £4,200 on Sunday evening. Cattle once again achieved strong bids and attention throughout the sale as the online market continues to grow, with a 2YO Beef Shorthorn x Heifer & Steer Calf following on at £2,600 for the pair. Both single ewes and groups sold extremely well, with a 2YO Pedigree Dutch Spotted Ewe achieving £900. A Pedigree Suffolk Shearling Ram sold for £640 and will be heading to West Devon.
With a strong demand for fodder across the South West, we saw 2026 Round Bale Hay and 2025 Wheat Straw top at £50 per bale.
We would once again like to thank both vendors and purchasers for their continued support and look forward to receiving entries for next month's auction.
