Stags on Site Sales team conducted another successful and well attended sale at Lower Preston Farm, Stogumber, Taunton on behalf Jonathon and Rosemary Moorhouse. After taking the decision to change their farming policy Stags were instructed to disperse their farm machinery and farming effects. With 350 lots sold on the day if the quantity wasn’t there the quality certainly was with the all machines presented excellently and looking tidy and well-kept. The sun shone on what was a successful sale in Somerset with both the vendor and auctioneers walking away happy with the end results.
Top price of the day was for the very tidy 25 year old 1990 Massey Ferguson 32 Combine Harvester (G711 YDV) with 14’ detachable header complete with transporter. The condition of the machine helped it to reach a finishing price of £7,250 at the fall of the hammer and will be heading back to a farm in the Tiverton area. Other notable prices included £2,950 for a 1968 Massey Ferguson 135 Standard Tractor which was a well-kept gem and 1981 Ford 550 Digger achieved £1600 on the day. The two Quad Bikes presented for sale on the day also sold well with the newest and more powerful bike realising £2000. The Sale saw very high attendance levels with the glorious sunshine attracting buyers from far and wide with over 145 buyers registering to purchase.
