Sun shone bright for South Cornwall Farm Dispersal

Stags Auctioneers were delighted to disperse the farm machinery and equipment on behalf of Robert and Rita Anquish at Bolitho Barton Farm, Black Rock, Camborne recently. It was the first full day of sunshine following a prolonged unsettled spell of weather and a really large crowd attended to see the 260 lots go under the hammer. The sale is the result of Robert and Rita’s decision to cease milk production back in March and move back to their original homeland of Norfolk, and the auctioneers having recently agreed the sale of the farm.

The day's highlight was always going to be the 2019 Massey Ferguson 5711 Dyna 4 c/w MF FL3717 Loader. The tractor was presented in immaculate condition with only 880 hours on the clock and raced away to be sold for £40,100.

In the machinery lines, prices topped at £6,400 for the 2019 Kuhn FC284D Mower Conditioner.  Other prices included £5,800 for the 2008 John Deere 568 Round Baler; £5,000 for the 2016 Kubota WR1100 Bale Wrapper; £3,700 for the Wecan WR2400 Rotavator; £3,600 for the Fleming ST2000 Slurry Tanker and £3,200 for the 2008 Bomford Kestral E90 Hedgetrimmer.

Trailers sold well, topping at £3,700 for the 6 Tonne Dump Trailer followed at £2,800 for the 2008 Griffiths 22’ Bale Trailer.

There was a good range of milking equipment with the Bou-Matic 10-10 Direct Line Parlour selling for £3,200. The Bateman Cow Cubicles topped at £22 each.

In the implement section prices topped at £1,150 for the Bradley 33KVA Generator, with other prices including £1,100 for an Alo 150 SG Shear Grab; £850 for the Bateman Cattle Crush and £750 for a Granite Trough.

Prices remain very strong for secondhand farm machinery with the new prices continuing to rise and many new items still struggling to get into the country.
