Stantyway Farm sale commands high attendance

Stags on Site Sales team conducted another successful and well attended sale at Stantyway Farm, Otterton, Budleigh Salterton. With Mr Martin Williams having made the decision to retire and relinquish the current farm tenancy agreement, Stags were instructed to disperse his farm machinery and farming effects. With 300 lots sold on the day if the quantity wasn’t there the quality certainly was with the condition and presentation of the equipment reflecting in the prices on the day.

Top price of the day was for the 15 Year Old Case Maxxum MX135 4wd Tractor with only 3900 hours on the clock. The condition and low hours helped it to reach a finishing price of £23,400 and was bought by a Farmer from the welsh town Lampeter in Ceredigion, South Wales. Other notable prices included £11,900 for a 1996 John Deere 6200 4wd Tractor with 5200 hours on the clock and £9000 for a JCB 520 Telescopic Handler of the same age with 10,000 hours on the clock. It wasn’t just the tractors that sold to a strong trade with a Kverneland 5F Rev Plough reaching £4000 and a very Tidy 2010 Marshall QM11 Grain Trailer peaking at £5300. The Sale saw high attendance levels with well over 200 buyers registering to purchase on the day.
