Stags Yeovil Office are celebrating their 10th anniversary this year and to mark the occasion they are planning a charity bake off/cake morning in aid of MacMillan on
11th May | 10am - 12noon
Tim Bennett who manages the Yeovil branch commented “We thought it would be a nice idea to write to local schools and invite their pupils to design an invite for the coffee morning.
The brief was quite simple; it had to be A5 in size, but the rest of the design was very much down to the pupils. The prizes up-for-grabs were £100 cash to the winning school and £50 vouchers towards a family day out for the winning entry.
We were delighted with the response and invited local partner, Chris McCaughey from the Bridport office, to come and judge the entries”.
Chris commented “there was a great variety of designs; you could see that a lot of thought had gone into creating the invites”.
After much deliberation the winning entry was chosen, drawn by Nyah Davies, aged 12, from Bruton School for Girls who is pictured with Tim Bennett and Kelsey Lawrence from the Yeovil Branch receiving her prize.
The next event will be the coffee morning on May 11th. Anyone who is interested in joining us is more than welcome. All proceeds will be going to Macmillan. The team is Yeovil can be contacted on 01935 475000.
