Stags was delighted to support and sponsor Blundell's One Day Event which took place on the 25th September at Pontispool Equestion centre near Taunton, one of the country's leading competition and schooling venues. The event is a highly anticipated fixture in an event rider’s calendar as it covers all three of the major riding disciplines: dressage, show jumping and cross-country, across three different classes of 70cm, 80cm and 90cm.
The sun shone on the day and the event was well attended, with a strong turnout of entries containing a good variety of competitors, from those competing for the first time to well-seasoned riders.
All competitors appeared to have a wonderful day, albeit with a few thrills and spills (not too many!) and highs and lows which is the great nature of eventing! Equestrian events are a great way of building a rider’s resilience and motivation!
Equestrian events on this scale cannot run without the goodwill, hard work and support put in by some 120 volunteers involved on the day, including our very own Alexandra Hayward, Branch Manager of our Dulverton office. Thank you to everyone involved for making the day such a success and a pleasure for Stags to support and sponsor.
Planning for next year’s event has likely already begun, with the date to be confirmed.
