Stags have strengthened their Professional Services department through the appointment of Matthew Wilcox BSc (Hons) MRICS as Senior Surveyor. Matthew will be based in the Tiverton office and brings with him a wealth of experience in various rural professional matters and estate management.
On graduating in Rural Enterprise and Land Management from Harper Adams University and having worked for estates in Wiltshire, Surrey and on an island off the West coast of Scotland, Matthew joined a national firm based in their Lichfield office. He was primarily involved with the ongoing management of rural estates in the West Midlands for both institutional and private clients which included assisting with the diversification of an estate yard into multiple retail units, letting two large agricultural units and the sale of a reinstated quarry.
Matthew joins Stags from a regional partnership based in the South of England. Here, he spent nearly four years overseeing and expanding the management portfolio which included agricultural, commercial and residential properties located across Dorset, Wiltshire, Somerset and Hampshire. In addition, Matthew was involved in various professional work. This included the letting of farm buildings for alternative uses such as storage, negotiating terms for solar parks and telecoms leases, completing rent reviews and lease renewals for farm tenancies on behalf of a County Council, and acting on behalf of landowners with the negotiation of option and promotion agreements.
On joining Stags, Matthew said: “I am delighted to join such a well respected and highly regarded firm. I look forward to working with existing and new clients to continue to provide the high-level of service that people expect from Stags.”
Matthew will be providing a range of professional services to Stags’ clients including dealing with option and promotion agreements, valuations, landlord and tenant work, lettings and estate management.
