Adding a competitive element to the day was the firm's annual Stags Bake Off competition. Each office selected its favourite bake to represent them in a company-wide vote, with colleagues across the business choosing Allison Bowler from the Stags Plymouth office as this year’s ‘Stags Star Baker’ (cake on the left).
Andrew Luxton, Senior Partner at Stags, said:
"We are delighted to have raised over £2,300 for the RNLI through our first charity fundraising event of the year. It was a strong start to our 2026 fundraising efforts and the support received has demonstrated the generosity and community spirit that exists throughout the South West.
“The RNLI performs an invaluable service for so many of the areas where we live and work, and we are proud to be supporting such an important organisation throughout 2026. I would also like to congratulate Allison Bowler on winning this year’s Star Baker award. The standard of baking across all our offices was incredibly high, and the competition attracted fantastic support from colleagues across the business."
The RNLI relies on voluntary donations to fund its lifesaving services, which include lifeboat crews and seasonal lifeguards operating around some of the South West’s busiest and most popular stretches of coastline. Since its formation, the charity has saved more than 146,000 lives and continues to provide essential support to coastal communities across the UK and Ireland.
The charity bake sale is just one of a number of fundraising activities planned by Stags throughout the year as the firm works towards supporting the RNLI and its vital mission. Building on a proud history of charitable fundraising that has generated more than £100,000 for good causes in recent years, Stags colleagues across the West Country are already planning further events and challenges to help raise additional funds.
