Stags Professional Services 2022 review

Stags Professional Services 2022 review

During 2022, Stags Professional Services team carried out more jobs than ever before, assisting clients in various matters across the entirety of the West Country.

The Professional Services team is best described as the consultancy side of Stags and comprises a team of Chartered Surveyors, RICS Registered Valuers, Planning Advisors and Architects. The team is spread across five “hubs” and provides services across the whole Stags area, from West Dorset through Somerset, Devon and Cornwall.

During 2022, the Planning team had some notable successes including a scheme delivering five local needs housing in Dartmoor National Park and a brownfield regeneration project in Crediton, with an outline application for the erection of eight dwellings and the associated works. The Architectural team was bolstered by the arrival of Jessica Attrill, who specialises in assisting property owners in extending or remodelling their houses. Jessica can take projects from start to finish, including obtaining the required planning consent as well as completing the drawings and providing input on design to enable the owner's wishes to be fulfilled. The design team have produced some interesting designs for conversions of Class Q Agricultural barns to residential, new-build dwellings on greenfield sites, as well as side layouts for developing land parcels.

On the valuation front, our team of RICS Registered Valuers have completed a range of formal valuations to include those required for Capital Gains Tax and Probate, where we are also able to advise on the availability of Agricultural Property Relief, as well as secured lending valuation. We value houses, land, farms, holiday complexes and all are supported by the wealth of knowledge and comparable information available through Stags' network of 22 offices as well as other agents and published data.

Our Estates Management department offers advice to Estate Owners who own a wide spectrum of properties including historic houses, cottages, woodland and diversified assets.

On the more Agricultural side, our team advises land owners and tenants on farming matters to include tenancies, grazing agreements and also grant opportunities, including the Countryside Stewardship Payment Scheme.

We are always delighted to meet with clients. If you have any questions or queries then please do not hesitate to contact us at one of our centres nearest you, or ring 01884 235701 and we can pass your enquiry to the right person.
