Stags Okehampton wins national award

Stags Okehampton wins national award

Okehampton’s best estate agent is Stags, and that’s official. The town’s branch of Stags has just won the British Property Awards for Okehampton, singling it out as offering the best customer service of all the town’s estate agencies.

A mystery shopper checked out Stags service and found that it performed the best according to 25 criteria.  “We’re delighted to have done so well,” said estate agent Mark Berry, who runs Stags Okehampton.

“We’re a team of six staff and many of us have been working for Stags Okehampton since the branch opened in 2004. There’s a wealth of local knowledge here and we do our best to provide the very best service for our clients.”

Their team performed “outstandingly” throughout the extensive judging period, which focused on customer service levels, said the judges. Stags Okehampton has now been shortlisted for a number of national awards which will be announced later in the year.

The British Property Awards provide agents throughout the UK with an invaluable opportunity to compare the service that they provide against the service provided by their, local, regional and national competition.

“If an agent has been attributed with one of our awards, it is simply down to the fantastic customer service levels that they have demonstrated across a prolonged period of time. Winning agents should be proud that their customer service levels provide a benchmark for their local, regional and national competition,” said Robert McLean of the British Property Awards.

Mark Berry of Stags said he felt the award had come “at just the right time” for Stags Okehampton. “We are seeing a real feeling of optimism here in the town, and Stags is very much part of the local community here. Okehampton is expanding and there are now some great shops and places to eat. The town centre pub The Plume of Feathers has now reopened after a long period of closure, which is great for the community here. There is talk of reopening the railway line which would be very good news for the town and there is a lot of interest in building and expanding the town.”

Stags covers both the town of Okehampton and its outlying area. “The countryside here is wonderful and we’re on the doorstep of the Dartmoor National Park. We also have excellent road connections to Exeter and Cornwall, making this a good place for commuters as well as those who work locally. There really is a lot to be positive about in Okehampton these days,” said Mark Berry.
