Stags are pleased to report that the sale of Lower Biddacott Farm near Chittlehampton has recently completed after being offered for sale by the firm's Farm Agency department and South Molton office, with a guide price of £2,350,000.
Lower Biddacott Farm is a former Rolle Estate farm which totals approximately 135.83 acres (54.97 hectares) all within a ring fence and with views stretching over the farm’s land towards the Taw Valley to the west.
The farm lies in a fine location within walking distance of Chittlehampton and within easy access of South Molton and the A361.
The south-facing house is substantial, yet characterful, and overlooks its enclosed garden to the front and the main yard to the west, which includes a range of attractive stone barns and more modern farm buildings offering potential for alternative uses, subject to planning consent being obtained.
There is a separate holiday cottage and the land includes a mixture of productive pasture and arable enclosures with road access.
The farm was sold as a whole to a Devon farming family. Andrew Dodds, who handled the sale, comments “Like many former Rolle Estate farms, Lower Biddacott was a model farm with an attractive and substantial house, an excellent range of stone barns, later, more modern livestock buildings and a productive run of land. We’re pleased that the farm was sold as a whole to a farming family.”
