Seminar Success: Supporting Landlords Through the Renters’ Rights Act

Seminar Success: Supporting Landlords Through the Renters’ Rights Act Claire Pile MARLA, Head of Residential Lettings celebrates the success of hosting, along with local accountancy firms, a series of four landlord seminars aimed at helping local landlords understand the upcoming Renters’ Rights Act and its implications for the private rented sector.

The events, held across recent weeks, were well attended by landlords from across the region and provided practical, up-to-date guidance on the legislative changes and what it means to them and their property. The seminars also featured presentations from accountancy firms, A C Mole, Peplows Wilson Partners & Azets all of which offered valuable advice on current taxation considerations for landlords. NFU Mutual and Envirovent also joined us and were on hand to provide their expertise too.

Attendees were provided with information to gain clarity on how the Renters Rights Act will affect how they manage their rental properties as well as given the opportunity to ask questions. Feedback from those attending was overwhelmingly positive, with many welcoming the chance to receive clear, expert advice in an open and supportive setting.

A selection of feedback received from the events included:

“Delivery was clear and concise. There has been a lot of speculation around the Renters’ Rights Act, it was reassuring to get some more facts and relevant information”

“The tax update was very informative”

“The Renters’ Rights presentation left me feeling more comfortable then when I arrived”

“Overall a very useful evening, very professional speaking clearly without making it too complicated”

“Very informative, lots of information very clearly presented”

Speaking after the events, Claire Pile commented;

“We are delighted with the response to our landlord seminars. With so much change on the horizon for the private rented sector, we felt it was important to offer clear, practical guidance and a forum for landlords to ask questions. Partnering with our local accountants who co-hosted the events added real value, and it was encouraging to see such strong engagement from attendees at all four events”.

The seminars are just one of the ways Stags want to support landlords through legislative change and helping them remain compliant, informed, and confident in managing their properties.
