The Mid Devon lettings team were pleased to attend the recent Mid Devon Landlord Networking Event, hosted at the Corn Barn in Cullompton.
The event brought together landlords and property professionals for an opportunity to network and hear from key voices in the industry. A highlight of the night was a lively and engaging presentation from Homes Under the Hammer presenter Martin Roberts, who shared his thoughts on the current property and lettings market with plenty of humour and insight.
Guests also received a useful update on the upcoming Renters’ Rights Bill from Guy Horsington, Deputy Director for the Private Rented Sector (Strategy, Tenancy & Redress), who provided an insight into what the proposed changes could mean for landlords and tenants alike.
To round off the evening, John Hammond, Development Management Manager at Mid Devon District Council, offered a valuable overview of local planning goals and the potential opportunities these may bring for land owners in the area.
Claire Pile MARLA, Associate Partner, commented:
“There’s no doubt that big changes are coming to the Private Rented Sector, and it was great to see so many landlords taking the time to understand what’s ahead. As letting agents, we’re here to support and guide landlords through these changes—helping them stay informed, compliant, and confident in their responsibilities.”
If you would like to find out more about the upcoming changes, are thinking about letting a property, or simply have a question about the local market, our team are always happy to help.
