"Lots of Lots" at Peter Morrish's Retirement Sale

Stags On Site Sales team were out again in the Bradninch area between Cullompton and Exeter on Saturday 5th September to disperse the Farm Machinery and General Equipment for Peter Morrish at Higher Combe Farm. It was only 4 weeks previously that Stags had dispersed the Collection of Vintage Machinery and Effects for Mrs S Hammett on a neighbouring farm. A total of 650 lots were unearthed and offered following Peter’s decision to retire from farming and relinquish his tenancy.

Another big Saturday crowd filled the large sale field and followed the auction as proceeded from around the farm buildings, through the milking parlour and finally into the field. Prices topped at £8,500 for the 1993 Massey Ferguson 3085 Autotronic 4WD Tractor c/w Quicke Loader being bought by a local farmer.

Much interest was shown in the 1972 International 454 2WD Tractor which finally sold for £2,000. The 2003 Tata TDI Pick Up sold for £1,500; whilst the 2002 Honda TRX 350 Fourtrax Quad Bike sold well £1,350. There were many smaller lots including dairy equipment which topped at £370 for a Fullwood 1800 litre Bulk Milk Tank.

In the introduced lots a C Reg Kubota 225 Tractor sold to £1,300 and Welsh 125cc Pit Bike sold well to £375. To keep up to date with all our forthcoming sales and all sale updates please look at the website www.stags.co.uk or contact the On Site Sales office on 01884 255533.
