Stags are delighted to confirm the recent promotion of Kate Collins MRICS to Head of Stags Commercial Department, based in Totnes. Kate has been a vital part of the Stags Commercial Department over recent years, which specialises in the management of commercial property, such as industrial units/estates, offices, shops and business parks. The knowledgeable team can offer a range of services and bespoke packages to suit individual needs. With an aim to enhance the value of rural and urban property, the team work closely with colleagues in our network of 22 West Country offices, to take responsibility for managing assets, securing continued rental flow and minimising any void periods.
Kate comments: “My journey to becoming a Chartered Surveyor started with juggling a full-time property role with studying for an RICS Accredited Degree in Real Estate Management with the University College of Estate Management.
Qualifying at the height of the Covid 19 pandemic, I started then paused my APC (Assessment of Professional Competence) structured training in order to have my son. Returning to the workplace, picking up my APC structure training and balancing a young family was a real challenge but I was determined to qualify. I was incredibly proud to have achieved MRICS status in 2024 and to be the first Stags graduate to qualify on a commercial pathway post-qualification. In addition, I am now further delighted to have been promoted to head up the Commercial Department and am very much looking forward and excited at growing the department within Stags.”
