Increase seen in farms coming to the market

Stags Farm Agency have seen an increase in the number of farms that have come to the market so far this year, in comparison to the previous three years. Could this be a sign of things to come?

George Alder, head of farm agency, comments “Currently there is little evidence to suggest sales are being driven by uncertainty of agricultural policy or increased interest rates. What we are seeing is vendors deciding to sell when the time is right for them, many have been taking advantage of high land prices and perhaps seeing opportunities to secure a higher fixed return from saving and some investments”

Recent farms for sale have offered a variety of farming, sporting and residential opportunities. Listed below are a few farms for sale in Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Somerset.
