Housing market livens up as supply increases but prices dip, says Stags property expert

Stags senior Partner Simon Cooper has been interviewed in the press about the news that the West Country property market is livening up.
In response to the news that more homes have come onto the market but that house prices have dipped slightly, Simon said to The Western Morning News and Devon Live:
 “May was a busy month, our valuations in the region this month increased by six per cent compared to May 2017 with year to date up four per cent on 2017.
“Of great interest was that instructions in the month were up over 20 per cent and now up 13 per cent, which augers well for buyers having a good choice of property to buy in the South West.
“The number of applicants registered with us increased one per cent in the month though interestingly the number of viewings year to date is five per cent down, however completed sales are up by four per cent.”
