Help to Buy Scheme has been extended to cover completions before 31 May 2021

With many of us being much more mindful of the damaging effects our modern lifestyles are having on the environment, the latest research of buying new properties is reassuring. The research indicates that new properties are almost 6 times more energy-efficient and generate over 60% fewer CO2 emissions than older style homes.

Buying a new home from a reputable builder also ensures your home has National House Building Council (NHBC) cover, the leading warranty and insurance provider – everything comes with guarantees so there’s no worry about breakdowns and your new purchase means no renovations, repairs nor DIY, leaving you time to spend with family and friends doing the things you enjoy.  The good news when buying a new home doesn’t stop there – they are designed to comply with high building standards, including secure double-glazed windows, fire resistant materials, circuit breakers and smoke alarms.

Being able to personalise your new home can often be the most rewarding and certainly helps to make it your own.  You can often choose kitchens, bathrooms and finishing’s with a wide range of colours and designs. Today’s new homes are designed for today’s lifestyles – more open plan living and larger kitchens with eating areas, which makes for a more sociable home where you can entertain as you cook.

New homes will also come with an outside ‘blank canvass’ - giving you the opportunity to create a garden with the features you need for your lifestyle, including terraces for relaxing and eating al fresco.

James Baker, Partner and head of Stags New Homes department summarises “With us becoming much more ecologically aware, buying a new home really is a smart option. With their high energy performance ratings which vastly reduce one’s annual utility bills, together with many incentive schemes from the Government and developers to help to buy, buying a brand new and personalised home should certainly be high on everyone’s agenda. Do however be aware that the current Help to Buy Scheme which was due to end in March 2021 has just been extended for completions by the 31st May 2021”.
