Grant funding for farming and forestry equipment - Farming Equipment & Technology Fund 2026 open for applications
The latest round of the Farming Equipment & Technology Fund (FETF) opens today (17th March 2026), with £50 million of funding available for items within three themes:
Farm Productivity
Animal Health and Welfare; and
Slurry Management
Applicants can apply for grants of between £1,000 to £25,000 per theme, with a combined maximum grant of £75,000.
Funding for items will be paid at 40% to 50% of actual cost, subject to a maximum grant per item as shown.
Farm Productivity
The 70 items within this theme are designed to improve efficiency on farm and strengthen profitability. Items include:
weed wipers
rainwater harvesting tanks
camera-guided inter-row sprayers; and
robotic silage pushers

Animal Health and Welfare
The 100 items within this theme are designed to improve livestock health and welfare. Items include:
ventilation equipment such as fans and chimneys to improve airflow in housing; and
biosecurity equipment such as portable storage bins, water tanks and sheeted gates.

The 17 items within this theme are aimed at improving slurry management. Items include:
robotic slurry collectors which automatically remove slurry from livestock housing
flow-rate monitoring equipment which measures how much slurry is being applied in real time; and
low-emission spreading equipment (such as dribble bars).
