Extension offer for 2021 Countryside Stewardship Mid Tier agreements

Extension offer for 2021 Countryside Stewardship Mid Tier agreements DEFRA announce a one-year extension for Countryside Stewardship Mid-Tier Agreements ending 31st December 2025.

The one-off extension is aimed at bridging the gap between the expiry of existing agreements and the roll out of the reformed schemes, including the Sustainable Farming Incentive, in 2026.

Crucially, DEFRA advise:
•    you cannot use the extension to add, remove or replace options or capital items in an existing agreement.
•    any uncompleted capital works will be removed from your agreement; and
•    options and supplements with a duration of less than 5 years cannot be extended.

Those who are eligible to receive an extension will be contacted by the RPA in the coming weeks. In the meantime, for further information visit this blog from GOV.UK or contact one of our experts.
