Deep roots allow strong growth for Stags Professional Services team

Stags was established in 1874, therefore, we have many years of experience, contacts and relationships to continue to build upon.

We aim to ‘add value’ in our dealings with and for our clients. Whether this is via our Professional Services team, our Land Agents, Planning Consultants, Lettings staff or Market and On Site Sales Department, our driver is always the same.

In recent months we have had many new faces join our team, all bringing additional strength and expertise to our offering.

Estate Management

Richard Morris, Associate Partner joined the Michelmore Hughes Stags sub-division of the firm, which is based from Totnes and provides both estate management and professional consultancy services throughout the South West.

Richard Morris is a familiar face to many in the South West property industry, with over 30 years experience as a Chartered Surveyor. Prior to joining Stags he was a Director at Savills. In his new role, Richard will be responsible for supporting numerous existing clients as well as developing new business opportunities.

Surveyors

The team has welcomed three new graduate surveyors as part of our Graduate Training Scheme; Olivia Hutchings in Launceston; Hannah Lukins in Wellington; and Claire Campbell in Totnes. These graduates will gain experience in valuation, planning, compensation, property sales and lettings, grants and subsidies and landlord/tenant negotiations, all whilst working alongside and assisting the rest of the team. Emily Woodruff, who is one year into her training scheme has joined us in Tiverton.

Two Chartered Surveyors have joined our team, Jenny Stewart based in Totnes and Jess Allsop based in Tiverton. Jenny Stewart, having previously worked for Strutt & Parker, she has a particular expertise in estate management. Jess Allsop, who has built her career in the West Country with time at the National Trust. We are delighted that she has joined us to pursue her career development and interests in rural planning, conservation and grant work as well as working towards becoming an RICS Registered Valuer.

Planning and Architectural Services

The Planning and Architectural team has been joined by Architect Carlos Ramos and Anna Brooks, a design and planning assistant and qualified Town Planner. Head of Planning and Architectural services, Alister Smith, said “The addition to our team provides us with the skills to assist our clients through the planning journey, from concept to completion. Having hit the ground running, both Carlos and Anna have various new projects underway.”

Alex Rew, Partner in charge of Stags Professional Services team, adds “the difficult times we are all experiencing mean that quality of advice and delivery to clients in a timely manner is even more important. We are delighted to be able to expand our team bringing in strength and experience across the spectrum of matters we deal with, but also young professionals who we hope will be with us for the long term and help steer the future of the department”.

We operate throughout the entire South West via the network of Stags 21 offices. Get in touch if you feel we can be of assistance.
