Dartmoor smallholding sells to local family business

Dartmoor smallholding sells to local family business Stags Farm Agency is pleased to announce the successful sale of Spanish Lake Cross, a versatile smallholding on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, to a local family business.

In total, Spanish Lake Cross extends to just over 51 acres of productive grassland, with a sizeable range of modern farm buildings suitable for the housing of livestock or horses. The property also included planning permission for the conversion of a mobile home to create a permanent dwelling for an agricultural worker.

Situated in the picturesque Teign Valley on the edge of Dartmoor National Park close to the village of Doddiscombsleigh, the property gained interest from buyers not only from within the South West, but also from buyers relocating from Europe.

George Alder, Partner and Head of Stags Farm Agency, was delighted with the result, “Spanish Lake Cross appealed to new entrants to farming, existing farmers looking for an additional unit and also to non-farming buyers attracted to the property and its stunning and private location. We wish the new buyers all the best in their endeavours and their new acquisition.”

Spanish Lake Cross was sold close to the guide price of £625,000.
