Another successful year for Stags On Site Sales

Another successful year for Stags On Site Sales  For Stags On Site Sales team, 2018 has been a very busy and exciting year with 41 machinery sales both on site and online.

With some of the highest value dispersal sales across the South West region, we have raised in excess of £3,200,000 for our vendors.

One of the first and largest sales of the year for the team took place in East Devon at Lowman’s Farm in Honiton on behalf of Messrs B and V Fowler where a large array of contractor machinery was sold in somewhat challenging weather conditions as snow and rain almost caused the sale to be postponed. However, the team pulled out extra resources and worked with the family to ensure all of the machinery was presented in the best possible way and the rewards were seen on the sale day. The top price and one of the highest value single prices of machinery ever sold by the team was seen for the 2013 Krone Big X 700  self-propelled forage harvester, which, along with the attachments, sold for a combined value of £177,600 to a client from the Bridgwater area.

At Bradley Farm in Shobrooke near Crediton, we held a sale on behalf of Messrs F B Coleman and Son. Here, an excellent line up of arable machinery was sold to buyers from across the country as well as clients from the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Among these items the 2014 New Holland CX5090 lateral combine reached £88,000 and sold to a farmer from Cheltenham. The 2010 Amazone MF 1501 27m crop sprayer, which sold for £17,000, also stayed in the United Kingdom but was fiercely bid no by buyers who had travelled all the way from the Republic of Ireland.

Wares Farm near Exeter proved to be another highlight of 2018. A dispersal sale conducted on behalf of Messrs F Askew and Sons consisted of JCB wheeled diggers, John Deere tractor, Claas combines, lorries and a full array of workshop equipment and farm machinery with over 800 lots sold on the day. Bidders travelled from across the United Kingdom, resulting in a sale packed full of high hammer prices. Topping the day was one of the 2007 Caterpillar 428E back hoe diggers, reaching £27,000 and selling to a specialist from Wiltshire.

Having conducted on site dispersal sales for over 100 years for farmers, contractors, building firms, garages, smallholdings, plant nurseries, specialist collections, equestrian businesses and sawmills, the Stags team has a great depth of knowledge and experience in conducting these auctions, together with digital and print marketing strategies to reach regional, national and international buyers.
