On leaving Totnes, proceed towards Dartington then turn onto the A381 up Kingsbridge Hill, signed Kingsbridge and Dartmouth. Pass through the village of Harbertonford and on to Halwell. Turn left in between the Church and The Old Inn, parking is on the road, the entrance to the cottages is on the left between the two rows of cottages, Braeside Rose Cottage is at the end on the left.
