In Torrington go straight on at the second mini roundabout taking the A386 towards Bideford. Drive through the town, past Lidls on your right, then, after a few hundred yards, turn left opposite Torrington Common onto the B3227 to Langtree/A388 to Holsworthy, which is clearly signposted.
Cross the humpbacked bridge and follow the road round to the right. After about 2 miles you will cross the Tarka Trail, with its car park on your left. Shortly afterwards there is a road narrows sign and a small stone bridge. After the bridge, take a left turn into a lane. The signpost says Peters Marland and Shebbear.
Continue along the road for about 1.5 miles, along the valley beside the stream, then uphill and go straight over at a small crossroads. A short way after the crossroads you will come to Shebbear X. The road bends round to the right towards Shebbear, at this point fork left into a smaller lane, the signpost says Petersmarland and Petrockstowe. (Unhelpfully, you can only read the sign when youre in the lane.)
The next crossroads you come to is Berry Cross, with a cottage just ahead with a postbox in its wall. Turn left here, the sign says Stowford. Past the cottages you will come to a cross roads with an unmade road in front of you. Stay on the surfaced road, which goes very sharply round to the left.
100 yards further on there is a No Through Road sign and signs that say Thorne go straight on here, down to Thorne farm.Viewings
