Sunday 17th March 2024 saw the close of the second South West Online Timed Auction of Tractors, Telehandlers, Excavators, RTV’s, UTV’s, Vehicles, Farm Machinery, Livestock Equipment, and other equipment for the Stags Agricultural Sales team.

1377 lots were catalogued by the team in the weeks before the start of the auction which commenced at 7pm on the 7th March. During the 10-day period of the sale being open, the auction attracted 244,055 visits to the sale catalogue as well as 1,937 registered bidders for this specific sale. Over £1,393,693 worth of bids (not all successful) were placed before the virtual hammer dropped on the Sunday evening. The auction saw a total of 414 purchasers who were from a variety of national and international areas including Northern Ireland, North Yorkshire, Milton Keynes, Kent, Swindon, Wales, Wolverhampton, Oxfordshire, Newport, Berkshire, Cambridge, Shrewsbury, Aberdeenshire, Herefordshire, Nottinghamshire, Gloucestershire, Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset and everywhere in between!

The top call was seen for a 2014 Massey Ferguson 6616 4WD Tractor which despite a lot of interest and enquires was unsold at the fall of the hammer. However, it was promptly sold post sale with a member of the team helping the vendor achieve £38,000 with the tractor staying local to serve its new owner. Next up was the 2018 John Deere 5125R 4WD Tractor, which received 33 bids and sold for £37,750. Following shortly after at £21,250 the 2012 New Holland 5020 4WD Tractor which had only one previous owner from new and will be making its way to Chippenham. Also successful on the close of the sale was a 2018 Pottinger HIT 10.11T Turner made £13,250 which makes its way to Bedfordshire.

Trailers saw a top price of £9,000 for a 2022 Portequip Trailer which had very little use from new. Despite the 2008 Joskin Komfort 2 Slurry Tanker being unsold at the fall of the hammer, a member of the team sold the item post sale for £8,500.
