Stags was delighted to support the Exeter Property Ball

Stags was delighted to attend and assist at the recently held Exeter Property Ball by conducting the main auction, where money was raised for three local charities.

The Exeter Property Ball, a unique bi-annual event with over 850 attendees, took place at Darts Farm, Topsham, on Friday 1st July. Due to Covid, this was the first ball since 2018 and, as a result, it proved to be one of the most successful.

The main auction, conducted by Andrew Luxton, raised an exceptional £45,000 from only nine lots, despite issues with the PA on the night! Andrew, a Partner of the firm, regularly conducts charity auctions throughout the area, but readily admits that, due to the number of guests, this is one of the most challenging.

In addition to the main auction, there was a silent auction running through the evening with an array of lots, which raised an additional £35,000

The initial fundraising target was £50,000, which was well exceeded on the night and was generously   match funded by the Exeter Chiefs Foundation and Exeter City Community Trust. The money raised this year is to be used to support three legacy projects: Jay’s Aim, St Sidwell’s Community Centre and Hospiscare.

It was a very successful night and Stags would like to thank and congratulate everyone involved in organising this very enjoyable and worthwhile event.
