Simplifying the planning system has been an objective of successive governments, and each year there are claims from Whitehall that progress is being made.
Some might agree that there has been a degree of success: around 88% of all planning applications are now approved compared with around 85% at the start of the decade. However, for all but the most basic of planning applications, the system is often far from simple.
Having been involved with all types of planning work for many years, Stags knows that whatever type of development is proposed, many people struggle to navigate the process. In particular, we have seen many rural clients battle to get to grips with the recent Class Q permitted development rights, which allow for agricultural buildings (amongst others) to be converted into residential dwellings.
To help set you on the right track, Stags Professional Services are offering free* 30 minute advice sessions on all planning-related issues matters.
If you would like to discuss any aspect of planning with one of the team, please call 01392 439046 to book an appointment at one of the four sessions below.
