Basic Payment Scheme 2016 - some good news (at last!)

Basic Payment Scheme 2016 - some good news (at last!)

Much to everyone's surprise, payments have already started rolling in for the 2016 Basic Payment Scheme, and the Rural Payments Agency (RPA) are hoping to have 90% of claims paid by the end of the year. However, there are still many unresolved issues from the previous year's applications and therefore claimants may find that their 2016 payment is not correct. If you have anunresolved payment, mapping or entitlement issues it is vital to remind the RPA, via an email or letter, that the problem is still outstanding to ensure you receive the right payment.

The online system for the transfer of land and entitlements has been closed while the 2016 applications have been processed, but we are told that the system is due to open again at the end of January 2017 for land transfers and mid-February for entitlement transfers. Although paper RLE1 forms can be submitted while the online system is unavailable, there may be a delay in the RPA processing these.

The 2017 deadline next year will be the usual 15th May and Stags Professional Services team would be happy to help anyone who requires assistance with their application or any other aspect of the scheme. Please call Dianne Shirazian on 01392 439046.
