St Kew is a quiet rural Parish close the scenic north Cornish coastline encompassing the pretty hamlets of Trelill, Trequite, Tregellist, Chapel Amble and Pendoggett.

The conservation village of St. Kew is without doubt the real heart of the Parish. The 15th century church dedicated to St. James and two hundred year old Inn stand unchanged in a sheltered hollow among trees alongside the stream which becomes the River Amble.

Rock, with its sailing and water sports facilities, lies on the north bank of the beautiful Camel Estuary 8 miles away, where there is a ferry across to picturesque Padstow. The fishing village of Port Isaac lies approximately 4.5 miles away whilst the former market town of Wadebridge is some 5.5 miles away beside the River Camel. There are excellent golf courses at Rock, St. Enodoc, Roserrow and Trevose on the west side of the Camel Estuary. Wonderful sandy beaches stretch along the north coast on either side of the Camel Estuary, with Polzeath and Daymer Bay, two renowned surfing beaches lying within easy driving distance..

There is a mainline railway station at Bodmin Parkway about 12.5 miles away and regular flights from Newquay Airport (about 17 miles) to domestic and international destinations.
