Unlike many national agents which pigeon-hole graduates into specialist departments at a very early stage, Stags believes that – for graduates at least – variety is the spice of life. We offer an unparalleled breadth of work experience – including Valuation, Planning, Compensation, Property Sales and Rental, Estate Management, Grants and Subsidies and Landlord and Tenant Negotiations - which allows you to make an informed choice as to where your specialty should eventually lie. 

Early Responsibility

Stags encourages graduates to take on their own clients from the get-go. Experience has shown us that the best way to learn is ‘hands-on’, with the full support of the rest of the team who will be on hand to give advice and guidance along the way.

Career Development

We actively encourage all staff members – graduate or not – to develop their careers through training. We will provide support to all types of staff to gain specialist property qualifications, recognising that our most important assets are our employees. Stags have a structured RICS approved APC training programme which can be tailored to suit an individual’s aspiration and chosen APC competencies. We also encourage graduates to sit the CAAV exam. Our goal is to support every individual in realising their ambitions. All our recent APC trainees have passed the RICS exams first time.

Annual Recruitment

We recruit Rural Practice Graduates, to serve our predominantly agricultural client base, on an annual basis. The successful graduates will gain experience in valuation, planning, compensation, property sales and lettings, grants and subsidies and landlord/tenant negotiations.

The individual's training programme will be tailored in line with his or her aspirations and chosen APC competencies; training will include a period with the firm's Professional Services and Farm Agency departments.

The package will include RICS membership and exam costs, CAAV membership and the cost of suitable training courses and events.
