DESCRIPTION
Moxhayes is a charming Grade II listed farmhouse with stone elevations and awash with period features synonymous with its 17th century heritage. A 1683 date stone affirms its historic origins whilst remnants of wall mouldings and a remarkably well preserved decorative psalm inscription hint at early monastic occupation. Architecture is a classic example of the rustic vernacular incorporating stopped and chamfered beams, inglenook fireplaces and solid Elm batten plank doors.
The accommodation is traditional in arrangement with a central slate floored hall running from front to rear with Sitting and Dinning Rooms on either side, each with impressive inglenook fireplaces and open hearths. DIRECTIONS
From Honiton take the A30 in an easterly direction signed towards Yeovil and London, following signs to Yarcombe and Chard. Continue through Yarcombe passing the church on the left hand side. Climb the hill and take the next turning right into Pound Lane at the end of a row of houses. Follow Pound Lane into open countryside and at the grass triangle turn to the left dropping gently to cross the river at a small ford. Climb gently up the other side and the property will be found on the left hand side as Pound Lane continues around to the right.
