Hidden Gems at Deer Park Farm

Stags On Site Sales team were busy yet again with another sale, this time near Exeter, Kenton at Deer Park Farm. The full range of machinery and farming effects were dispersed on what turned out to be a sunny and pleasant day on behalf of the Administrators of the Estate of the late Mrs J Matthews. The sale comprised of 350 lots including 3 Tractors, 1 Digger, 3 Quadbikes and 7 Ride on Lawn Mowers.

All the vehicles and machinery had been barn stored but not used for a very long time (believed 6-8 years). Top price on the day was £12,100 for the Case International 895 4WD Tractor with Quicke 2300 Loader (730 hours on the clock) exceeding all expectations including auctioneer Chris Clapham’s. The other International Case 885XL 4WD Tractor presented for sale (1970 hours on the clock) realised £5,100 at the fall of the hammer and was bought by a farmer from Moreton Hampstead, Newton Abbot. The third and final Tractor offered was the Ford 4100 2WD Tractor which reached £2,100 and will be staying in the Exeter area. The single JCB 3CX 2WD Backhoe Loader was bought for a strong price of £6,600.

A flying trade was also received for the 2010 Honda 4 x 4 TRX420 Fourtrax ES with only 9 hours showing on the clock it climbed it’s way in price to finish at £4,300. The Big Red Honda Quad bike offered which was notably more worn and was reflected in the finishing price as the hammer fell on £1,800. The Kawasaki KLF 300 Non Runner also sold well at a price of £800. Other Notable Prices included £1700 for a tidy Westwood T1600 4WD Ride on Lawn Mower, £900 for an aged Brenderup Twin Axle Flatbed Trailer and a Penzag CM164 Drum Mower sold well for £620.
