Planning drop-in sessions a hit

Planning drop-in sessions a hit

To help people begin navigating the stormy seas of the planning system, in November Stags held 4 planning advice drop-in sessions. 20 people came along to the sessions, which were held in Exeter, South Molton, Wellington and Yeovil, availing themselves of the free half hour one-to-one advice from members of the Stags Planning and Professional Services teams. The goal was to help start people off on their planning journey, whilst raising money for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (R.A.B.I). Enquiries were varied and included:

• The conversion of a barn to a farm office

• The siting of log cabins for a holiday business

• The conversion of barns to residential

• How to remove an Agricultural Occupancy Condition (AOC)

• How to obtain a certificate of lawfulness for using a holiday let as a dwelling

• Provision of increased hard standing for a ground works business

Alister King-Smith, Head of Stags Planning Services, was pleased with the turnout. ‘Jennifer Cox from the Wellington office and I were really pleased to be able to help people with a wide range of planning issues. We look forward to donating the money raised to the R.A.B.I, an extremely deserving cause.’
