There are few places that remain quite so unspoilt and original as Abbotsham Farm near Winkleigh. Positioned at the end of its entrance lane, surrounded by 193 acres of land, the farm is offered for sale by public auction (unless previously sold) in up to four lots, or as a whole.
Abbotsham Farm was originally an Abbot’s home and was the site of a former medieval manor house which was replaced by the present farmhouse, probably in the 17th century. When the current owner’s family purchased the farm at auction in December 1961 it was known as a fine stock rearing farm.
The Grade II Listed thatched farmhouse has five bedrooms with a south-facing aspect and is in need of complete renovation; it is not a small project, but there is potential to create a wonderful family home in an idyllic setting with uninterrupted views towards Dartmoor.
