Auction Shows Continuing Strength of Land Market
Stags, acting upon the instructions of Somerset County Council, offered Greenacre Farm, Combe Florey, Taunton, for sale by Public Auction in 8 lots.
The stock farm lies close to the Quantock Hills and comprises a modest 3 bedroom farmhouse, extensive range of farm buildings and pasture land extending to 105 acres.
The farm was sold in lots with the farmhouse, buildings and 19 acres fetching £410,000 with the remaining 86 acres selling individually at prices ranging between £4,150/acre and £7,480/acre, with an average of £5,200/acre across the board.
Also at the Auction Stags sold Cruwys Farm, Langley Marsh, Wiveliscombe, Somerset, a Grade II Listed detached farmhouse in need of complete refurbishment, together with a range of adjoining barns and 12 acres selling for £455,000.
